Hey hey!
Ever wondered how people actually find your website? Google Analytics has the answers!
Here’s a quick breakdown of the primary traffic sources:
1️⃣ Organic Traffic – Visitors who find you naturally via Google and other search engines. Free, high-quality, and long-term.
2️⃣ Paid Traffic – People coming from your ads on Google, Facebook, and more. Fast, targeted, and effective.
3️⃣ Social Traffic – Visitors clicking over from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
4️⃣ Referral Traffic – Traffic from other websites linking to you. Bonus: traffic coming from AI sources like ChatGPT is often categorized here.
5️⃣ Direct Traffic – People typing your URL straight into their browser. That’s strong brand recognition.
6️⃣ Email Traffic – Visitors from newsletters, promo emails, or campaigns.
7️⃣ Other Traffic – Traffic that doesn’t fit the usual categories.
8️⃣ Not Set Traffic – Unidentified traffic; check your tracking settings to understand it better.
Knowing where your traffic comes from is key to focusing your time, money, and energy on what actually works.
